The Brain Cancer Research for a Cure Foundation was formed from a simple promise from a father to his dying child.
Aaron Catrell Watson was born August 13, 1987 and left this world on March 30, 2008. At only 20 years old Aaron had
just begun his life when it was suddenly taken from him. He died from a very aggressive brain tumor that metastasized
and took over his mind and body.
Aaron was a very talented young man who had music running through his veins. He
started playing the trumpet in middle school and within only three months he was given the title of child prodigy. He played
in several concerts at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland and had many school performances. At the age of twelve
Aaron was invited to a stage rehearsal and played with jazz great, Wynton Marsalis.
As Aaron grew older he
developed a passion for football. In the year 2005 he was presented with the state-wide (Maryland) Unsung Hero Award for his
outstanding efforts in conjunction with his high school football team.
Aaron was a fun-loving young man who was
struck down by a "thief" in the form of a brain tumor.
Aaron leaves behind a newly wed wife and a son that
has never had the pleasure of being in his father arms but will forever be reminded of the great man that he was. Aaron passed
four months before the birth of his son and only child, William Aaron Watson.
